Ingredients

  • 24 green walnuts
  • 1 liter grain alcohol
  • 700 grams sugar
  • 10 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the green walnuts into quarters.
  2. Place the walnuts in a large jar, and add the alcohol, sugar, cloves, cinnamon stick, and lemon zest.
  3. Seal the jar and let it sit in a cool, dark place for 40 days.
  4. After 40 days, strain the mixture through a cheesecloth and bottle the liqueur.
  5. Let the Nocino age for at least one year before consuming.
