Ingredients
- 24 green walnuts
- 1 liter grain alcohol
- 700 grams sugar
- 10 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Begin by cutting the green walnuts into quarters.
- Place the walnuts in a large jar, and add the alcohol, sugar, cloves, cinnamon stick, and lemon zest.
- Seal the jar and let it sit in a cool, dark place for 40 days.
- After 40 days, strain the mixture through a cheesecloth and bottle the liqueur.
- Let the Nocino age for at least one year before consuming.
