A refreshing and invigorating cocktail featuring blanco tequila, allspice dram, fuji apple juice, honey, and ginger with a hint of mint and Angostura bitters.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz blanco tequila
- 1/2 teaspoon St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
- 1 1/2 oz fuji apple juice
- 3/4 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz honey syrup (2 parts honey to 1 part water)
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1/4 cup finely grated ginger
- 1/2 cup demerara sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- sprig of mint (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a shaker, combine blanco tequila, allspice dram, fuji apple juice, lemon juice, honey syrup, ginger syrup, and 3 ice cubes.
- Shake the mixture for 10 seconds and strain it into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.
- Top the cocktail with 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and serve with a straw.
- To prepare the ginger syrup, combine demerara sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add finely grated ginger once the sugar dissolves and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer, and let it cool to room temperature.
