Ingredients

  • 2.40 oz evaporated milk (1/5 can)
  • 1.40 oz sweetened condensed milk (1/10 can)
  • 1.40 oz coconut milk (1/10 can)
  • 1.50 oz sweetened cream of coconut
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 vanilla bean (split lengthwise)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • Toasted coconut (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, condensed milk, coconut milk, and sweetened cream of coconut over low heat, whisking to combine.
  2. Add the cinnamon sticks, split vanilla bean, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Let the mixture barely simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes. Remove and discard the cinnamon sticks and vanilla bean.
  4. Slowly whisk in the vanilla extract and rum. Pour the mixture into a pitcher, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until cold.
  5. Serve in small glasses, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg, and toasted coconut.
