Ingredients
- 2.40 oz evaporated milk (1/4 cup)
- 1.40 oz sweetened condensed milk (2 tbsp)
- 1.40 oz coconut milk (2 tbsp)
- 1.40 oz sweetened cream of coconut (2 tbsp)
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 vanilla bean (split lengthwise)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 oz rum (white, spiced, or coconut)
- Toasted coconut (for garnish (optional))
Instructions
- In a large saucepan over low heat, combine evaporated milk, condensed milk, coconut cream, and coconut milk, whisking to blend.
- Add cinnamon sticks, vanilla bean, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg, and simmer gently for 20-30 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat, cool for at least 30 minutes, and then remove and discard the cinnamon sticks and vanilla bean.
- Slowly whisk in vanilla extract and rum. Pour the mixture into a pitcher, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until cold.
- Serve in small glasses garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg, and toasted coconut, or in larger glasses with cubed ice.
