Ingredients

  • 1/3 orange, chopped
  • 1/3 pear, chopped
  • 1/3 lemon, 1 chopped, 1 juiced
  • 1/2 cup mixed red berries (such as strawberries and cherries), chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ice
  • 5 oz. light red wine
  • 1 1/2 oz. Spanish brandy
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the chopped fruit with sugar and cinnamon. Stir to coat and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  2. Fill a large jug with ice. Stir the macerated fruit mixture to dissolve the sugar, then pour into the jug with the wine and brandy.
  3. Stir well, then top up with sparkling water and serve.
