Sugar Cookie Margarita
A festive twist on the classic margarita, the Sugar Cookie Margarita combines tequila, lime juice, sugar cookie simple syrup, and a hint of orange liqueur, finished with a whimsical rim of vanilla frosting and sugar cookie sprinkles.
Ingredients
- 1.30 oz. water
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar cookie mix (we used Betty Crocker)
- 0.70 oz. sugar
- 1 oz. tequila
- 0.50 oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz. Sugar Cookie Simple Syrup
- splash of orange liqueur
- 0.60 teaspoon store-bought vanilla frosting
- Christmas cookie sprinkles
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine water, powdered sugar cookie mix, and sugar. Cover and cook over low heat until the powdered sugar cookie mix and sugar are dissolved, about ten minutes.
- In a Mason jar, combine tequila, lime juice, sugar cookie simple syrup, and a splash of orange liqueur. Shake vigorously.
- Rim serving glasses with frosting and roll in sugar cookie sprinkles.
- Pour the margarita mixture over ice into the prepared glasses.
