Ingredients

  • 2 strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 3/4 oz lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 oz amaretto liqueur
  • 1/2 oz aged rum
  • Mint sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine hulled and halved strawberries, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
  2. Use a muddler to smash the strawberries until they are broken up.
  3. Add amaretto, rum, and a few ice cubes to the shaker, then shake until chilled.
  4. Fill a rocks glass with crushed ice and strain the smash over it.
