Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Cranberry Juice
  • 1/4 cup Apple Juice
  • 2 tbsp Orange Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Honey
  • Orange slices
  • 1/2 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 1-2 Cloves
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1/2 tbsp Dried Ginger
  • 1/8 tsp Orange Zest
  • A pinch of Nutmeg
  • 2-3 Cardamom Pods

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine honey and orange juice. Simmer until the mixture thickens into a syrupy consistency.
  2. Add the mulling spices and all the juices to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for five minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to rest for 2 hours to let the spices infuse.
  4. Strain the spice-infused mix, reserving some cinnamon stick, orange slices, and star anise for garnishing.
  5. Ladle the mulled wine into glasses and garnish with the reserved cinnamon stick, orange slices, and star anise before serving.
