Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons of superfine sugar
  • 6 mint leaves, plus extra sprigs for garnish
  • 2 oz. of cognac
  • Crushed ice
  • 1 tbsp. water

Instructions

  1. In a highball glass or silver julep cup, stir the sugar and water until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the mint leaves and gently crush them with a spoon.
  3. Fill the glass with crushed ice and pour in the cognac. Stir for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  4. Fill the glass with more crushed ice and garnish with mint sprigs and two straws.
