Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons superfine sugar
  • 6 mint leaves, plus 4 sprigs for garnish
  • 2 oz. cognac
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. In a highball glass or silver julep cup, stir sugar and 1 tablespoon of water until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the mint leaves and gently crush them with a spoon.
  3. Fill the glass with cracked ice and pour in the cognac.
  4. Stir until chilled, approximately 15 seconds.
  5. Fill the glass with more ice and garnish with mint sprigs and two straws.
