Slow Burn is a warming and refreshing cocktail with fresh ginger, cinnamon, rye whiskey, aperitivo, lime juice, and egg white.

Ingredients

  • 3 slices muddled ginger
  • 1/2 ounce ginger-infused simple syrup
  • 1 ounce rye whiskey
  • 1 ounce aperitivo (e.g., Bordiga or Aperol)
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce egg white

Instructions

  1. Muddle 3 slices of ginger.
  2. Add the muddled ginger, ginger simple syrup, rye whiskey, aperitivo, lime juice, and egg white to a shaker with ice.
  3. Shake the ingredients well for 30 seconds.
  4. Strain the mixture into a Martini glass.
  5. Top off with a dusting of powdered cinnamon.
