Ingredients
- Handful of mint leaves
- 2/3 oz cinnamon simple syrup
- 1 1/2 oz Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege cognac
- 3/4 oz red grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz Luxardo Bitter Bianco
- 1/2 oz Lemon Hart & Sons 151 demerara rum
- Garnish: mint sprig
- Garnish: grapefruit twist
Instructions
- In a Collins glass, muddle the mint leaves and cinnamon simple syrup together to release the mint's oils.
- Add the cognac, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, and red grapefruit juice to the glass, then fill it with crushed ice.
- Swizzle the ingredients in the glass to ensure they are well combined.
- Top the cocktail with the demerara rum and add more crushed ice to fill the glass.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and a wide grapefruit twist.
- For the cinnamon simple syrup: Bring 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar, and 6 crushed cinnamon sticks to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain out and discard the solids. Allow the syrup to cool before using.
