Ingredients

  • 2 ounces sage-infused tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce triple sec or Cointreau
  • 1/2 ounce Agave in the Raw
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt or cocktail salt
  • 1 sprig sage, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine fresh sage leaves and tequila in an air-tight container, then let it steep in a cool, dark place for at least 24 hours and up to 3 days.
  2. If desired, rim a rocks glass with flaky sea salt by rubbing the rim with a lime wedge and dipping it into the salt.
  3. Fill the rimmed glass with ice.
  4. In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine the infused tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave nectar, then shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  5. Double strain the mixture into the ice-filled glass.
