Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 pomegranate
  • 1/4 apple, cored and sliced thin
  • 1 handful seedless grapes
  • 3 ounces red wine
  • 1/4 cup pure 100% pomegranate juice
  • 1/8 cup grape juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon brandy
  • 1/2 tablespoon triple sec

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, mix honey and 1/2 cup water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the honey dissolves into the water. Do not boil. Remove from heat and let it cool. This is your honey simple syrup.
  2. Remove the seeds from the pomegranate and place them in the bottom of a pitcher.
  3. Layer the apple slices on top of the pomegranate seeds, followed by the grapes on top of the apple slices.
  4. Pour the red wine into the pitcher.
  5. Add the pomegranate juice, grape juice, brandy, triple sec, and honey simple syrup to the pitcher. Gently stir with a long-handled spoon to blend all the flavors together.
  6. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours before serving, allowing the flavors to blend. Stir again before serving.
