Ingredients
- 6 fresh raspberries
- 1/8 cup water
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 oz raspberry vodka
- 3 fl oz freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 fl oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- 3 fl oz sparkling rose wine or champagne (chilled)
- Grapefruit slices for garnish (optional)
- Fresh raspberries for garnish (optional)
- Mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the raspberries, water, and sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and simmer until the raspberries have fallen apart, and the sugar has dissolved, about 5 to 8 minutes.
- Place a fine-mesh strainer over a bowl or measuring cup. Pour the raspberry mixture into the strainer and press on the solids to release the liquid. Discard any remaining solids in the strainer and allow the syrup to cool completely.
- Once the syrup is cooled, stir in the raspberry vodka until well combined.
- When ready to serve, pour the raspberry syrup mixture into a champagne flute, followed by orange juice, grapefruit juice, and top with sparkling rose wine.
- Garnish with mint sprigs, grapefruit slices, and fresh raspberries. Serve immediately.
