Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 24 oz evaporated milk (2 cans, 12 oz each)
  • 15 oz coconut cream
  • 40.80 oz coconut milk (3 cans, 13.6 oz each)
  • 28 oz condensed milk (2 cans, 14 oz each)
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup Nutella spread
  • 2-3 cups white rum

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, whisk together egg yolks and 24 oz evaporated milk over steam until thickened, about 5-6 minutes.
  2. Transfer the evaporated milk-egg mixture to a large mixing bowl. Add coconut cream, coconut milk, and condensed milk. Mix in Nutella, spices, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the mixture into a blender in batches. Optionally, strain the mixture through a fine colander. Stir in the rum and mix well.
  4. Store the coquito mixture in glass bottles.
