Ingredients
- 1 mini peppermint candy cane, crushed, for the rim
- 1 3/4 oz vodka
- ice
- 7 tbsp caster sugar
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the caster sugar and 1/2 cup water over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat, stir in the peppermint extract, and let the syrup cool completely.
- Crush the candy cane and place it in a shallow dish.
- Dip the rim of a martini glass in water, then in the crushed candy cane.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 tbsp of the peppermint syrup, vodka, and ice, and stir until the shaker feels very cold.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and serve.
