Ingredients

  • 1 sugar cube
  • 1 1/2 ounces Rye Whiskey
  • 1/4 ounce Herbsaint
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
  • Lemon peel

Instructions

  1. Fill an Old-Fashioned glass with ice.
  2. In another Old-Fashioned glass, place the sugar cube and add the Peychaud's Bitters, then crush the sugar cube.
  3. Pour in the Sazerac Rye Whiskey and mix well.
  4. Empty the ice from the first glass and coat it with the Herbsaint, then discard the excess.
  5. Transfer the whiskey, bitters, and sugar mixture into the Herbsaint-coated glass and garnish with a lemon peel.
