Mardi Gras Sipper
A classic New Orleans cocktail with rye whiskey, herbsaint, and bitters, perfect for sipping at a Mardi Gras party.
Ingredients
- 1 sugar cube
- 1 1/2 ounces Rye Whiskey
- 1/4 ounce Herbsaint
- 3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
- Lemon peel
Instructions
- Fill an Old-Fashioned glass with ice.
- In another Old-Fashioned glass, place the sugar cube and add the Peychaud's Bitters, then crush the sugar cube.
- Pour in the Sazerac Rye Whiskey and mix well.
- Empty the ice from the first glass and coat it with the Herbsaint, then discard the excess.
- Transfer the whiskey, bitters, and sugar mixture into the Herbsaint-coated glass and garnish with a lemon peel.
