Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup Everclear (or vodka)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 vanilla bean, seeds and pod
  • cheesecloth

Instructions

  1. Zest the lemon and place the zest in a container with Everclear, allowing it to infuse for a week in a cool, dark place.
  2. Warm milk, sugar, and vanilla bean seeds and pod in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature and strain the mixture.
  3. Combine the lemon-infused Everclear with the sweet milk mixture, strain, and funnel into a bottle.
  4. Store in the freezer and serve small amounts in chilled glasses.
