Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
  • 4 oz freshly brewed coffee
  • 1 tsp demerara sugar
  • Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish

Instructions

  1. Lightly whip the heavy cream in a bowl for about a minute.
  2. Preheat a serving glass with hot water, then discard the water.
  3. Add the Irish whiskey, coffee, and sugar to the glass, stirring to combine.
  4. Optionally, top up with hot water to adjust the strength of the coffee.
  5. Using a warm tablespoon, gently pour the lightly whipped cream over the back of the spoon to let it float on top of the coffee.
  6. Garnish with a light dusting of grated nutmeg.
