Ingredients

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (or maple syrup)
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 oz. Irish whiskey
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a chilled mixer bowl, whisk the cream until soft peaks form. The cream should be soft but not runny. Set aside.
  2. Fill a glass coffee mug with hot water and let it sit for 2-3 minutes. Pour out the water to warm the mug.
  3. Add sugar or maple syrup to the mug.
  4. Pour the hot coffee into the mug and stir to dissolve the sugar.
  5. Add the Irish whiskey and stir lightly to combine.
