Ingredients

  • 1.50 oz Joven Mezcal
  • 0.50 oz Cointreau (or Triple Sec)
  • 2 oz Hibiscus Tea Concentrate
  • 2 oz fresh blood orange juice
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz agave nectar
  • Himalayan pink salt
  • Crushed hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • Sliced blood oranges
  • Hibiscus flowers

Instructions

  1. Juice the citrus fruits.
  2. Prepare the Hibiscus Tea Concentrate by boiling dried hibiscus flowers and filtered water in a saucepan, then allowing it to steep and cool.
  3. Coat the rim of your glass by dipping it first into lime juice, then into a mixture of Himalayan pink salt and crushed hibiscus flowers to create a salted rim.
  4. In a cocktail shaker, combine ice cubes, citrus juices, Joven Mezcal, Cointreau, Hibiscus Tea Concentrate, and agave nectar. Shake vigorously until the shaker becomes cold.
  5. Strain the contents into a cocktail glass.
  6. Garnish with a slice of blood orange and/or edible flowers. Cheers!
