Ingredients

  • 3/8 cup white grape juice, chilled
  • 1/16 cup orange liqueur, such as Cointreau
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon superfine or granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/8 nectarine, pitted and chopped
  • 1/4 navel orange, quartered and thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons fresh or canned mandarin orange sections, drained
  • 3 tablespoons fresh golden or red raspberries
  • 1/8 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/8 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/3 of a 750 milliliter bottle of sparkling white wine, chilled
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher or glass jar, mix together the chilled white grape juice, orange liqueur, sugar, and honey until the sugar and honey dissolve.
  2. Stir in the chopped nectarine, thinly sliced orange, cherries or mandarin orange sections, raspberries, basil, and mint.
  3. Chill the mixture for 1 hour or up to 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
  4. Just before serving, add the sparkling white wine to the fruit mixture.
  5. Serve the sangria in glasses over ice.
