- 4.20 oz Red wine (good quality)
- 0.80 oz Ruby Port
- 0.80 oz Soft Brown Sugar
- 1-2 Star Anise
- 1/4 tsp Cloves
- 1-2 Bay Leaves
- 1 Cinnamon Stick (broken in half)
- 1/2 inch Fresh ginger
- 1 Orange segment
Instructions
- In a large pan over low heat, combine red wine and ruby port.
- Add brown sugar and allow it to dissolve completely.
- Add star anise, cloves, bay leaves, and cinnamon to the pan.
- Add the piece of fresh ginger and warm the wine mixture for 5 minutes without boiling.
