Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 oz frozen cranberries
  • 1 oz frozen haskap berries or blueberries
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup plain or lemon sparkling water
  • 1 cup sparkling apple must
  • 1 sprig fresh sage
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • Gin (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a small pot over high heat, bring cranberries, haskap berries, sugar, and water to a boil.
  2. Simmer until the fruits burst, about 15 minutes, then crush the fruit with a potato masher.
  3. Strain the mixture through a sieve and refrigerate until completely chilled.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the chilled fruit syrup with sparkling water and apple must.
  5. Crumple 3 sage leaves and add to the pitcher, removing them after 5 minutes.
  6. Pour the punch into glasses filled with ice cubes.
  7. Garnish with sage leaves, rosemary branches, and remaining cranberries. For an alcoholic version, add 1 oz of gin per glass.
