Ingredients
- 8 fresh figs
- 1/2 tsp dried lavender buds
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- Honey
- Turbinado sugar
- Salt
- 5 mint leaves
- 2 oz fig syrup
- 1 1/2 oz lime juice
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 2 oz tequila
Instructions
- Cut the fresh figs into quarters.
- In a bowl, muddle the cut figs, lavender, and granulated sugar together.
- Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate the mixture for at least three hours, preferably overnight.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer, pressing down to extract all the liquid.
- Dip the rim of a cocktail glass into honey, then into a mixture of turbinado sugar and salt.
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint leaves with fig syrup, lime juice, triple sec, and tequila.
- Add a few ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously.
- Fill the cocktail glass with ice and strain the drink into the glass.
