Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
- 1 oz honey mead
- Juice from 1/2 navel orange (about 1 oz)
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1 egg white
- 1 oz dry red wine, such as cabernet sauvignon
Instructions
- In a shaker, combine the Irish whiskey, honey mead, orange juice, simple syrup, and egg white.
- Shake the ingredients vigorously for 30 seconds until very frothy.
- Add a couple of ice cubes to the shaker and shake again for about 15 seconds until very chilled.
- Strain the mixture into a glass, holding the shaker fully upside down to drain all the egg white.
- Using a metal spoon, slowly pour the red wine over the back of the spoon to create a red wine float.
