Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. blended malt whiskey (recommended: Monkey Shoulder)
  • 1 1/2 oz. toasted coconut syrup
  • 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz. curaçao (recommended: Pierre Ferrand)
  • 1 fresh egg white
  • 2 dashes absinthe
  • 1 tsp. peated single malt Scotch whisky (recommended: Laphroaig 10 year old), to rinse glass

Instructions

  1. Rinse a chilled coupe with the peated malt whisky, discarding the excess.
  2. Combine the blended malt whiskey, toasted coconut syrup, fresh lemon juice, curaçao, egg white, and absinthe in a shaker.
  3. Shake the mixture without ice until it becomes foamy.
  4. Add ice to the shaker, then shake again to chill the cocktail.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
