Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. blended malt whisky (Monkey Shoulder recommended)
  • 1 1/2 oz. toasted coconut syrup
  • 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz. curaçao (Pierre Ferrand recommended)
  • 1 fresh egg white
  • 2 dashes absinthe
  • 1 tsp. peated single malt Scotch whisky (Lady Jane uses Laphroaig 10 year old), to rinse the glass

Instructions

  1. Chill a large coupe glass and rinse it with the peated malt whisky, then discard the excess.
  2. Combine the blended malt whisky, toasted coconut syrup, fresh lemon juice, curaçao, egg white, and absinthe in a shaker.
  3. Shake the mixture without ice until it becomes foamy.
  4. Add ice to the shaker, shake again to chill the mixture.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the prepared coupe glass.
