A velvety and sophisticated cocktail with blended malt whisky, toasted coconut syrup, and a hint of smokiness.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz. blended malt whisky (Monkey Shoulder recommended)
- 1 1/2 oz. toasted coconut syrup
- 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 oz. curaçao (Pierre Ferrand recommended)
- 1 fresh egg white
- 2 dashes absinthe
- 1 tsp. peated single malt Scotch whisky (Lady Jane uses Laphroaig 10 year old), to rinse the glass
Instructions
- Chill a large coupe glass and rinse it with the peated malt whisky, then discard the excess.
- Combine the blended malt whisky, toasted coconut syrup, fresh lemon juice, curaçao, egg white, and absinthe in a shaker.
- Shake the mixture without ice until it becomes foamy.
- Add ice to the shaker, shake again to chill the mixture.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared coupe glass.
