Crisp Cucumber Gin Cooler

A refreshing and delightful cocktail filled with cucumber, mint or basil, lime, and your choice of gin or as a mocktail, topped with crisp tonic water.

Ingredients

  • 1-1 1/2 oz gin (omit for mocktail)
  • 1/2 lime, squeezed
  • 4-6 cucumber slices
  • 1-2 teaspoons sugar (optional)
  • 6 mint leaves (or 4 basil leaves)
  • 4-6 oz tonic water (Indian tonic water)

Instructions

  1. In a Ball jar with a lid or cocktail shaker, add mint or basil, lime, sugar, and gin, then gently muddle to release the oils.
  2. Add cucumber slices and 4-6 ice cubes to the jar, cover tightly with the lid, and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
  3. Pour the mixture into a glass, add ice, and pour in the tonic water.
  4. Stir gently, garnish with a sprig of basil or mint, a slice of cucumber, and a wedge of lime if desired.
