Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Light Brown Sugar
- 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1 Clove
- 1 Allspice Berry
- 1/8 Vanilla Bean (, slit open vertically)
- 1/8 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 cup Water
- 2 oz Dark Rum (or 1/4 tsp Rum Extract)
- Whipping Cream
- Freshly Grated Nutmeg
Instructions
- Combine brown sugar, butter, cinnamon stick, clove, allspice berry, vanilla bean, salt, and water in a slow cooker.
- Cook on LOW for 5 1/2 hours.
- Strain the mixture through a fine sieve and return the liquid to the slow cooker to keep warm.
- Pour rum (or rum extract) into a serving mug.
- Top with whipping cream and freshly grated nutmeg.
