Ingredients
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1 lime wedge
- 1/2 cup frozen corn kernels, thawed (2.5 oz)
- 1/2 oz cane syrup
- 1/2 cup ice cubes (4 oz)
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 cup crushed ice, approx.
- 1 cilantro sprig
- 1 slice jalapeño chili pepper, seeded (optional)
Instructions
- Combine the salt and chili powder on a small plate. Rub the rim of an Old Fashioned glass with the lime wedge, then coat the rim with the salt mixture. Set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the thawed corn kernels and cane syrup into a purée.
- Add the ice cubes, tequila, and lime juice to the shaker. Mix vigorously.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over the crushed ice.
- Garnish with the lime wedge, cilantro, and optional jalapeño slice.
