Ingredients

  • 2 oz full-fat coconut milk
  • 2 oz cream of coconut
  • 2 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 oz Puerto Rican rum
  • Cinnamon sugar for rim garnish
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing glass, combine the coconut milk, cream of coconut, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir the mixture well to ensure all ingredients are fully blended.
  3. Add the Puerto Rican rum to the mixture and stir again until combined.
  4. Strain the liquid using a fine mesh strainer to remove any remaining clumps of cinnamon or nutmeg.
  5. Refrigerate the cocktail for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to enhance the flavors.
  6. Before serving, rim a glass with cinnamon sugar and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
  7. Pour the Coquito de la Isla into the prepared glass and enjoy!
