Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces blended Scotch
  • 3/4 ounce oloroso sherry
  • 3/4 ounce Concord grape syrup
  • 1/4 ounce juice from 1 lemon
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Lemon peel, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by making the Concord Grape Syrup. Pulse the grapes in a blender, then combine the purée with water and sugar in a saucepan. Cook over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
  2. Once cooked, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve and refrigerate until cool.
  3. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the Scotch, sherry, grape syrup, lemon juice, and bitters.
  4. Shake the mixture until well chilled, for about 20 seconds.
