Ingredients

  • 1.70 oz Meantime chocolate porter
  • 1.20 oz dark rum
  • 0.50 oz sugar syrup
  • 1 egg
  • Grated nutmeg, to serve

Instructions

  1. If serving cold, combine all ingredients (except nutmeg) in a shaker and shake vigorously without ice to mix and aerate the egg.
  2. Open the shaker, add ice, and shake vigorously again for 10-15 seconds.
  3. Strain the mixture into a glass with a few ice cubes, if desired.
  4. Grate nutmeg over the top for a finishing touch.
  5. If serving hot, combine all ingredients (except nutmeg) in a pan and gently heat, whisking until warmed through. Be cautious not to let it get too hot to prevent the egg from scrambling.
  6. Pour the warm mixture into a glass and grate nutmeg over the top.
