Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz dark chocolate
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons hot chocolate mix
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, plus more for garnish
- a pinch of cayenne pepper, plus more for garnish
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups ice
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, cold
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Finely chop the dark chocolate and melt it in a microwave or double boiler.
- Stir in the sugar, hot chocolate mix, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper until fully combined.
- Add 1/2 cup of milk and stir until the chocolate mixture is fully incorporated.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into a blender, add the remaining milk and ice, and blend until well combined.
- For a thicker consistency, blend in the additional ice.
- Divide the mixture into a glass and top with whipped cream.
