Ingredients

  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick (3 inches)
  • 1 whole clove
  • 1/8 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1.50 oz pisco, aguardiente, grappa or brandy
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Strain the mixture into a pitcher, discarding the spices.
  5. Stir in the coffee, pisco, and vanilla.
  6. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve over ice.
