Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1-inch cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1/2 oz espresso
  • 1/4 cup pisco or grappa

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, combine milk, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and star anise. Heat over medium heat until it simmers gently, stirring constantly for about 10 minutes until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the espresso and continue heating for 1 more minute.
  3. Remove from heat, pour in the pisco or grappa, and stir.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a jar and refrigerate until cold.
