Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cold water
  • 1/2 Mexican cinnamon stick
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/2 oz freshly brewed strong coffee, cold
  • 1 1/2 oz Chilean pisco
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Let it cool to room temperature.
  2. Transfer the syrup, including the spices, to a large pitcher.
  3. Add milk, cold coffee, pisco, and vanilla to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, for a few hours or overnight.
  5. Pour about 1/2 cup of the punch into small tumbler glasses and serve very cold, paired with Christmas cookies, stollen, or pan de pascua.
