Ingredients

  • 1 lime
  • 2 sugar cubes (or 1 tablespoon granulated sugar)
  • 2 ounces cachaça
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions

  1. Cut the lime into quarters, reserving one quarter for garnish, then slice the other three sections into smaller pieces. Place them in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the sugar cubes and roughly muddle until the limes are crushed and the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour in the cachaça and add the ice.
  4. Cover the shaker and shake until chilled and the ice is broken down, about 20-30 shakes.
  5. Pour the entire contents of the shaker into a rocks glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
