Ingredients

  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 small Roma tomato
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper
  • A pinch of chipotle powder
  • 3/4 tablespoon horseradish
  • 1/4 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Quarter the tomatoes.
  2. Use a juicer to extract the juice from the tomatoes.
  3. In a food processor or blender, combine the tomato juice, basil, sea salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and chipotle powder.
  4. Pour the mixture into a pitcher and stir in the horseradish and lemon juice.
  5. Rim the glass with freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Fill a glass with ice and add 1 oz. of vodka.
  7. Top off with the Bloody Mary mix and garnish with fresh basil.
