Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces mezcal
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau
- 2 ounces blood orange juice
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- Tajin salt (for rimming the glass)
- Ice
Instructions
- Rim the glass with Tajin salt. Run a lime slice around the rim of your glass and dip it into Tajin salt spread on a plate.
- Juice the blood oranges to obtain 2 ounces of juice per cocktail.
- Shake the Blood Orange Smoky Margarita. Fill a shaker with ice and add the mezcal, Cointreau, blood orange juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously until the shaker starts to frost up.
