Ingredients
- 3 fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 navel orange, thinly sliced into half-moons
- 3 oz Dubonnet Rouge or other sweet fortified red wine, chilled
- Ice
- 2 oz seltzer, chilled
Instructions
- Gently muddle basil and orange with a spoon or muddler until basil is lightly bruised but aromatic.
- Stir in the wine and let it sit for at least 15 minutes and up to 2 hours.
- Pour the mixture over ice in a glass.
- Top with seltzer and serve immediately.
