Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Whole milk
  • 2 oz Semi-sweet chocolate (60% cocoa solids) (or 0.6 oz milk chocolate + 1.5 oz dark chocolate (with 70% cocoa solids))
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Baileys Irish cream
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Double cream
  • 2 teaspoons Baileys Irish cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chocolate flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chocolate to the milk and stir until melted and the milk is steaming, but not boiling.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and Baileys Irish cream.
  4. Optional: use a milk frother or immersion blender to blend the mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip the double cream and remaining Baileys until soft peaks form.
  6. Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and top with the Baileys whipped cream and chocolate flakes.
