Ingredients

  • 2 sugar cubes
  • 6 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • 1.50 oz rye whiskey
  • 1 dash Pernod Absinthe
  • 2 oz Crispin Original Cider
  • Ice
  • Lemon peel, optional

Instructions

  1. In a mixing glass, muddle sugar cubes with Peychaud's bitters until well combined.
  2. Add ice and rye whiskey to the mixing glass.
  3. Stir until the mixture is well chilled and the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Pour a dash of absinthe into a serving glass and swirl to coat the inside, then discard any excess.
  5. Fill the serving glass with ice.
  6. Strain the chilled rye mixture into the serving glass.
  7. Top with Crispin Original Cider.
