Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • 3 ounces blanco tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces Aperol
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce almond simple syrup
  • Crushed ice
  • Tajin, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer sugar and water until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat, then stir in almond extract and orange water. Let the syrup cool.
  2. Fill two rocks glasses or stemless tulip glasses with crushed ice.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Aperol, lime juice, and almond syrup. Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Strain the margaritas into the prepared glasses.
  5. Finish by lightly sprinkling Tajin over the drinks and enjoy!
